Education

Education has been part of The Invisible Theatre's mission since our founding in 1971 as "an arena for local playwrights."

We nurture new work through full productions and staged readings — including our Women's Voices Play Reading Series and evenings of brand-new short plays — and we create opportunities for emerging and established theatre artists across Southern Arizona.

Our Managing Artistic Director, Betsy Kruse Craig, also serves as Education Director, continuing a teaching tradition that reaches back to programs such as Shakespeare Under the Stars (1976–1982).
